FMP Ideas

After two years on my HND Photography course the time has come for me to start my final major project (FMP), this is a project that I can photograph whatever I decide.
These are three ideas that I have come up with to have a think about for my FMP.

-Portraiture – For this idea I would look at the history of portraiture & try to re-create the same effect but with a slight modern twist.

I couldn’t find who actually took this photograph but it was taken in 1870 & is called ‘portrait of a trumpeter’

-Street – As my main strength in photography is photography people I thought I could photograph people on the street. I have an idea of sitting in the same spot & watch people passing by waiting for the right moment to photograph them, like the decisive moment by Henri Cartier-Bresson.

-Family Snapshots – My family are a very big part of me especially my nieces and nephew so I have an idea of going out for the day, even if it is just to he park for a couple of hours to feed the ducks & play on the swings. I will snapshot the three children throughout the day being 100% natural & showing a variety of emotions.

Hollywood Portatiture

Audrey Hepburn

In these images Audrey Hepburn is looking directly into the camera apart from the very last one where she is looking slightly above the camera. The way she poses with the blank expression on her face & with the way the light captures her she looks very elegant and pure. With the last image the dark background against the light on her pale skin gives her a glamorous appearance. There is great contrast in these image as there is a range of whites to greys and blacks. My favourite pose out of thees is the one she is doing on the fourth image as she looks slightly seductive but at the time really sweet and innocent.
